The older population experience back pain, pain in their legs, knees and ankles more often. But, the young population suffers from this kind of pain, as well mostly because they lead sedentary lifestyle.
According to the latest research, 1/3 of the adult population had experienced joint pain within the last 30 days. They had experienced osteoarthritis, bursitis, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, strains, sprains and many others.
One half of the back pain will disappear within 17 days, but 90% of the pain will stay for up to 3 months. Also, there are group of people who suffer from chronic back pain which harden their everyday routine. They cannot stand, sit, or lie down.
Leg pain occurs usually as a result of tear and wear, joint injuries or injury in the muscles, ligaments, and tendons. It can be also caused by poor circulation.
Recipe for Pain Relief Smoothie:
2 cups of pineapple
2 celery stalks
1 inch of raw turmeric root
a dash of black pepper
½ tsp. of coconut oil
Peel the orange, lemon, turmeric, and the ginger and chop the pears and pineapples. Next Put all of then into a blender and blend them. Drink it immediately or keep it in a jar with a lid for 3 days.
The blender preserves the fibers and if you use a juicer the fibers will be eliminated through the waste. The high consumption of fiber produces lower CRP (C-reactive protein) in the blood, which is a marker of inflammation connected to many diseases, including arthritis, diabetes, and heart diseases.
The benefits from each ingredient
Pineapple – Pineapple contains bromelain which relieves joint pain effectively and reduces arthritis inflammation. Bromelain contains more enzymes than the anti- inflammatory non-steroidal drugs.
Orange – Calcium and potassium deficiency might cause leg pain.The body requires the right amount of vitamin C so it can prevent the inflammations and to maintain healthy joints.
Celery – It’s rich in vitamin K and lack of this vitamin causes bone mineralization and abnormal cartilage.
Pear – Pears have high content of vitamin C which is needed for reduction of the inflammation caused by arthritis.
Lemon – Alongside vitamin C, the lemon is high in vitamin E, as well, both of them being antioxidants which are essential for the body. They protect the body from the damage caused by free radicals and at the same time, they help to maintain the connective tissue and the collagen.
Ginger – The gingerol has the capacity to fight against lipid compounds, prostaglandins, that cause the pain.
Turmeric – In a study published in 2009 by the the Journal of Alternative Complementary Medicine, it was proved that turmeric has the ability to relieve knee pain and improve its function. It is more effective than ibuprofen when treating osteoarthritis.
Try drinking this smoothie and then wait for a couple of days so it starts working.
