A German photographer by the name of Tanja Brandt has dedicated her career to photographing wildlife and animals. One of her most recent works involves photographs of two unusual pair of friends – Poldi (her Belgian shepherd) and Ingo (a small owlet). These two animals have formed the most unlikely bond and are inseparable!
Tanja Brand describes the relationship between the two animals as “protector and protected”. She says that Ingo is Poldi’s guardian since she doesn’t know how to “live free”.
Poldi hatched 2 days later than his sisters and brothers.
Since the beginning he was vulnerable due to his small size.
Ingo is the opposite of her since he comes from a family of ruthless and strong police dogs.
Ingo is extremely protective over the small owlet.
Their bond is just as strong off camera and that can be noticed in the photographs.
They read each other and show mutual respect.
Despite being stronger and bigger, Ingo would never hurt his small friend.
The friendship is very mutual.
They really care and love one another.
