How To Get Rid Of The Annoying Mosquitos This Summer

All of us adore summer. It’s simply amazing. There is more sunlight, warm nights, picnics, campfires, and more … mosquitoes, too. On the basis on the list of Lawrence Journal World, mosquitoes are ranked on the first place as most annoying bugs.

The itching hives and stinging bites will make even the most down-to-earth human being over the edge.

Some people are more ‘fortunate’ than the others, since they attract these blood suckers more often. Mosquitos are more attracted to 20 % of the population. If you feel like you are part of this group, this is the reason why:

There are certain things which attract mosquitos more: blood type (type O is the most preferable one), lactic acid (higher body temperatures, and sweat), certain skin types, alcohol consumption, bacteria, pregnancy, and the color of the clothes (avoid the red, dark blue, or black).

We all know that we cannot mess with genetics, but if you want to repel the annoying bugs even for a bit, skip the beer, take cold showers more often, and wear white clothes.

If nothing of the above-listed tips can help, try this natural bug repellent in order to keep the pesky bugs away:

Add several lemon slices in a mason jar. Then, add two sprigs of rosemary, a few lime slices, and 10 drops of Eucalyptus oil. Fill the remaining part of the jar with water and put a tea candle on top to float. The Eucalyptus Oil, the main active ingredient in this recipe, contains low concentrations of DEET and it’s considered to be a natural insect repellent.

If you want a repellent that you can apply it on your skin, you can use essential oils such as rose geranium, lavender, citronella, or peppermint mixed with aloe Vera gel and vegetable oil.
